Project preliminary for the expansion of the departures area. In respect of the constraint of absolute economy, required from the Client, structure proposal creates one uninterrupted space for the development of the functions of check-in and of acceptance passengers. The road infrastructure, object of the intervention, is composed of the section of the A12 between the junction with the A15 in the north and the one with the A11 in the south. The aim of the project is the creation of an entrance portal, to be positioned in correspondence with accesses to Km 0 + 000 (towards Bardonecchia) and to km 73 + 000 (towards Turin), which allows users in transit to perceive the exact extension of the section of competence of Sitaf and at the same time sends to the same a message of welcome and goodbye. Due to the boundary nature of the A32 the message will be bilingual: Italian and French.

SUNTUNNEL is an eco-friendly device which replaces the backup electric lighting located at the entrance of tunnels, allowing significant energy savings. SUNTUNNEL performs a double action through its shielding of sunlight, by replacing the backup electric lighting in the initial sections of tunnels and producing electricity through photovoltaic panels.
